Description: This file contains v3.82 of the Dell Diagnostics disk for the Inspiron 3000 only.  


Important Information 
 
This diagnostic file is designed for the Dell Inspiron 3000. It is not to 
be used on any other model of Dell portable.

Before running diagnostics:

1. Make a working copy of the Dell Diagnostics diskette 

2. Disconnect any attached printers. 

3. Set default values in the System Setup program. 
   a. In the exit menu, choose ""Get Default Values"" 
   b. Choose Yes when prompted to load the default configuration. 

4. In the System Setup program, change the following settings in the ""System Devices"" menu 
   Plug & Play OS = [No] 
   Serial Port = [Auto] 
   Infrared Port = [Auto] 
   Parallel Port = [Auto] 
   Audio = [Enabled] 


5. In the Power menu of the System Setup program, set the Power Management 
   to Disabled. 

6. Press to save the settings and exit the System Setup 
   program. 

7. Attach an AC adapter to the computer.
